Professional Firework Displays to Music by Alchemy Fireworks
The skill of choreographing fireworks to music is a subtle art. The Alchemy Fireworks display designers are hugely experienced and highly talented. Over the years we have designed and fired hundreds of musical firework displays, including everything from live classics such as the 1812 Overture and Pomp and Circumstance to pre-recorded soundtracks featuring Madonna and the Arctic Monkeys.
Because the Directors of Alchemy Fireworks research the music for every pyromusical display, design the shows and fire the displays there is total continuity from start to finish on every display. Whether it's a display to live music or a pre-recorded soundtrack we are immersed in the concept and vision for every professional display that we fire. We know the soundtracks or score inside out. We attend rehearsals if the music is being played live. We know the cues for each sequence off by heart. We have an encyclopedic knowledge of firework material available, so we can pick and choose the fireworks that we think will work best with the music, and for the event as a whole. Designing a spectacular musical firework display is only half of the process though. You need experienced, alert, pyrotechnicians who can react to changes as the display is actually firing, such as variations in an orchestra’s playing speed, or changes in wind strength and direction.
That’s why whichever of us has designed the display – Rob Farrow or Glenn Plume – is also there in the thick of it when the display fires, calling the shots, making sure each sequence starts and finishes spot on with the music. It’s the only way to guarantee continuity, 100% commitment and the safest and most spectaular end results possible.
As we have said, firework display design is an art, and we all know it’s very hard to objectively compare different works of art. We’re not great show-offs (firework display design is a shy performer’s art, where the maestros are concealed in the darkness of the night!) but when we take our ear defenders off at the end of a show and hear the cheers of the audience we know we’ve done a good job. Luckily you don’t just have to take our word for it – have a look at the reviews of our firework displays, including feedback and pictures in the Portfolio folio section of the Alchemy Fireworks website.
