Rob Farrow, Special Projects Director and Company Owner of Alchemy Fireworks
Rob Farrow is the Special Projects Director of Alchemy Fireworks, and along with Glenn Plume he founded and owns the company. Rob has worked in the firework industry since 1996, and over the last 14 years he has fired hundreds of safe and spectacular firework displays.
Trained as a pyrotechnician to the highest level in the industry (BPA Level 2), Rob also has a degree in French and Spanish and has traveled extensively. Rob has produced firework displays across the UK, and thanks to his languages he has also worked on firework displays in France, Spain, Gibraltar, Russia, Sweden and the Maldives. Rob loves being challaneged with new venues or events for fireworks displays, and he enjoys collaborating with other companies to create theatrical and multimedia firework spectaculars.
Rob loves his work and the company, so he can normally be found firing fireworks displays, planning firework displays, preparing fireworks for displays or playing with fire. He also spends time making tea for fellow Alchemist, Glenn Plume. When he’s not doing that he reads, listens to music, eats cheese, drinks red wine and worries (briefly) about cholesterol. On some days Rob can hold a conversation on a subject other than fireworks, and despite countless displays involving getting very cold and very wet Rob is still glad he didn’t follow everyone’s advice and get a proper job.
His three favourite Alchemy Fireworks displays are the Sheffield After Dark Bonfire Night event, the Thorpe Park firework displays and the Mouth of the Tyne Festival firework finale.
